Who We Are and Who We Serve: The Story of the Belize City Sub Umbra Floreo Lions Club

United by a common vision to serve our community and effect positive change, the Belize City Sub Umbra Floreo Lions Club came into existence.

Established in December 2023 and proudly sponsored by the Belize City Lions Club, our journey began with 21 devoted individuals driven by a sincere desire to make a difference. On January 24, 16 members, followed by another 5 on March 16, marked a significant milestone as they were formally inducted into the club, signalling the official start of our collective mission as charter members. Fueled by enthusiasm and determination, we eagerly embraced our association with Lions International, setting out on a quest to uncover the essence of Lions Club.

From the outset, our mission was crystal clear: to extend a helping hand to those in need and to serve as a guiding light of support and empathy within our community. As a club, we stand resolute in our commitment to the global causes that steer us, including Hunger, Diabetes, Childhood Cancer, Environment, and Vision. Furthermore, we dedicate ourselves to the well-being of our youth and stand prepared to aid our community in times of national disasters.

Through our combined efforts, we aim to be acknowledged for our steadfast      dedication to serving others within the communities We Serve. Our impact deeply resonates, touching the lives of countless individuals and nurturing a sense of unity and compassion.

As we reflect on our journey, the mantra "Where there is a need, there is a Lion" resonates deeply within us. We remain steadfast in our mission to effect positive change and to forge a brighter future for all. Together, we continue to enrich lives, uplift communities, and embody the spirit of Lions Club as we strive to make the world a better place, one act of service at a time.
