Meetings

Thank you for visiting the College Place Lions Club!

We are a membership-based community service organization dedicated to serving the needs of our city - College Place, Washington. Lions services are built on feedback from their communities. If you see a need for a specific service or project, reach out to us and we'll be happy to collaborate!

Our Projects:

Vision Assistance: We provide eye exams and basic-frame eyeglasses to low-income community members. These services are offered at little to no cost to community members who need them in, so long as they primarily live in College Place or Walla Walla and have a community referral.

Click here for our vision assistance application!

If specialized glasses are needed - such as glasses for colorblindness - or you do not reside in our service region, contact us! Our club can discuss approvals for specialized glasses, and our members can refer you to other assistance resources.

Community Board Game Nights: We are dedicated to holding welcoming, no cost spaces for leisure in our community. In response, we began hosting family-friendly Community Board Game Nights at the building in Lions Park.

These events are every second Saturday of the month
from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Bring your friends and family to play games and enjoy some snacks!

College Place Farmer's Market: We have a sponsored booth at the weekly College Place Farmer's Market, where we often provide children's activities, snacks and water, service information, and plant seeds.

Pay us a visit every Thursday at Kiwanis Park,
from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. until September 26, 2024!

Christian Aid Center Meal Service: In partnership with the Christian Aid Center, we sponsor a meal for residents of their shelter and our unhoused community members. We supply a meal plan, cook, and serve the meals we sponsor.

Our meal service is every fifth Monday of the month.

If you would like to serve with us on this project, contact us first! Due to the protective environment of the Christian Aid Center, volunteers need to be known.

Winter Comfort Projects: Each year we collect and distribute wintertime comfort items for local school children and our unhoused community members. To ensure all of our community members stay warm through the cold weather, we focus heavily on the distribution of socks, hats, gloves, coats, and other warm clothing.

For emotional comfort, we put together additional gift baskets with toys, activities, hobby items, and warm clothing for students on the giving tree through College Place Public School District and in donation to Operation Christmas Child.

Springtime Fishing Derby: For over 20 years, we have hosted our annual Youth Fishing Derby at the pond in Lions Park. Youth are welcome to come fish our stocked pond and participate in fishing challenges to earn prizes.

We host this event every year on the Friday before Mother's Day.

NOTE: While Lions Park is under construction, the Youth Fishing Derby will be cancelled.
