An Historic Occasion

On March 18th, 2010, the Club inducted its first three women members.  Seated from left to right are new members Marie Lucey, Bridget Pierce and Beverly White.  Standing are Zone Chairperson and PDG "Lettie" Saheim and sponsors John Lucey, Don Pierce and Roger White.  

Welcome to the Town of Hoosick Lions Club website.  

        The Town of Hoosick Lions Club was chartered in 1960.  Cambridge was our sponsoring club.  A photo of the original 26 charter members can be seen in our photo gallery.  

        Since then, local Lions have been actively involved in the community.  The Penny Hunt has been a Lions tradition for the last 50 years.  Three generations of families have participated.  The Wood Memorial Road Race, another Lions event, is celebrating its 26th anniversary this year.   The local club donates to many local organizations as well.   

Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.
