PRESIDENTS MESSAGE
Welcome to the Ajax Lions Club 2023 - 2024 Lions year. I want to share my thoughts and hopes for the upcoming year as your Ajax Lions club president.
I am a 14-year member of the Ajax Lions Club and felt it was time to volunteer for a new leadership position. I served as secretary for the club for many years and chaired events such as the Lions Foundation of Canada Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides. I have enjoyed working as a member of the club to serve our community.
My hope for this year is to provide leadership and engage every member of the club. We all have special interests and talents we can use to promote our club, increase membership and serve our community. The Ajax Lions club is celebrating our 70th Anniversary this year and we plan to celebrate this milestone with an open house and luncheon – more details to follow.
When we work together on fundraising, club management and service projects - we can accomplish great things. Our LCI President is Dr. Patti Hill and her message for Lions really resonates with me. I joined and continue to be a Lion because I believe being a Lion helps me to be a better person.
