The Akron Lions Club was organized in 1938 and has been continuously supporting the International Lions programs as well as serving the community and those in need since that time.
The Akron Lions Club holds several fundraising projects throughout the year including:
- Ephrata Fair Food Stand - serving the famous Toasted Cheeseburger
- Spaghetti Dinner
- Broom Sales
The Club holds social events and special meetings, including:
- Christmas Ladies Night
- Spring Ladies Night
- Summer Pig Roast
- Summer Clam Bake Picnic
- Family Night Picnic
- Childrens Event
- Industrial Tour
The Akron Lions Club meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Ephrata Diner.
The Akron Lions Seniors meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Lions Lodge.
