2019 TRADE DAYS ON COTILE-March 30-31

The Alexandria MacArthur Drive Lions Club will host our annual “Trade Days on Cotile” at the Cotile Lake Recreation Park. This is a family Flea Market and Antiques event which includes fun for all since we plan to have a recreation area for children to include a climbing wall, inflatables and other attractions. Browse and buy art, antiques, Airbrush work, clothes, tools, jewelry, plants and flowers plus much more. Vendors should call 318-229-7104 for information regarding charges and electrical needs. A wide assortment of food dishes will be available on Food Row with meat pies, hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ turkey legs, sausage, gumbo, soft drinks and many other dishes. Vendors note - an occupational license is not required but food concessions must meet State and Local health regulations.

Walk-in admission is $1.00 per adult. Children six and under are admitted free. Inside parking is $2.00 per vehicle plus $1.00 per passenger (other than the driver) with children six and under free. Parking is provided outside the park at no charge and shuttle service will take you to the gate. There will also be a recreation area for Children. Please- no alcohol or coolers and no off- road vehicles. NO PETS except Service Dogs (in harness) for those who require them.

In addition to a fun time, your patronage of this event helps us to provide eye care and screening for those who cannot afford it, including eye glasses and surgery. Our “Cub Sight” screening is conducted year-round for pre-school children. Most visual problems can be treated successfully during those ages. Day care, Head Start and similar organizations may call 318-664-1415 to arrange screening. Proceeds are also used to support our Lions Camp for handicapped children, for although their handicaps remain, they leave with a more positive image of themselves. Call 337-239-6567 for information. During this Trade Days event the MacArthur Drive Lions Club will also sponsor diabetes screening administered by the Cotile Volunteer Fire Department. Remember to “fast” for at least 2 hours before testing.
