1991 – 1998: Jerry D. Pritchard
Donated Christmas tree to needy families. Held raffle on 20” color TV – raised $600. Purchased eyeglasses for children in need. Donated case of candy to nursing home for Christmas. Continued to sponsor monthly Bingo at Nursing Home. Donated “Closed Caption” machine. Donated sprinkler system for city square. Club loaned out wheelchair and hospital bed to local residents. Sold Halloween Candy and raised $1200 in 1992. Sponsored Spaghetti dinner at Santa’s Helpers Auction – funds split between Santa’s Helpers and White Cane. Sponsored students in all State Lions Band for International Convention. Car show held as fundraiser. Donated eyeglasses to Eye Bank. Donated $100 to Venus Lions Club to help with past dues. Transferred 15 units of blood to local resident in hospital. Club started $500 Scholarship for local students (5/96). Sponsored new Lions Club in Grandview. Members served pancakes at Easter Sunrise Service (4/96). Sold BBQ sandwiches at Street Dance and made $200. Club sold dinners for Santa’s Helpers  - gave them $800. Again sold candy to raise money for eyeglasses. Awarded two $500 scholarships to students at Alvarado High School (5/99).

1988 – 1989: Randy Allen, President
Collected hospital beds, wheelchairs, and crutches for loan to the needy in the community. Participated in local parade with Float advertising the conjunction with up-coming fundraiser. Held Garage Sale as another way to raise funds. Provided Automatic Wheelchair for local Elementary School Student. Furnished Wheelchairs and Hospital Equipment to invalids. Collected used eyeglasses as a way to contribute to the needy.

1985 – 1986: Samuel Thomas, President
Sold Halloween Candy as a way to raise funds. Purchased 18 pairs of eyeglasses for those in need. Hosted Pancake Breakfast at Sunrise Services. Assisted with Blood Drive in association with the Carter Blood Center. Candy Sale Project held. Provided a Spaghetti Supper for Santa’s Helpers Auction. Purchased additional eyeglasses for elementary school students. White Cane Day Sales were held. Continued monthly Bingo Games at the local Nursing Home.

1976 – 1977: Jerry D. Pritchard, President
Provided an Amplifier System at a cost of $250 for the local school’s Athletic Field. Held banquet honoring the local Police and Volunteer Fire Departments. Blood Drive held and collected 97 pints of blood. Bailey Brothers Circus was well attended and successful. Sponsored candidate for Old Settlers Queen Contest. Supplied and served refreshments at Community Easter Day Service. Donated $50 each to the Boy Scout Troop and local Fire Department. Continue to hold annual Pancake and Sausage Supper.

1960 – 1961: Willard Robertson, President
Monthly Bingo games held at the local Nursing Home. Hosted a pancake supper and served approximately 200 people. Club played the local Basketball Team at the High School and won with extra players. Assisted the Cancer Society in collecting funds. Light Bulb sale was held as a fundraising project.  Special Ladies Night dinner and program held.

Gave $300 to playground. Sponsored Softball Field and Youth Playground. Fitted four persons with glasses. Sponsored carnival and netted $661. Purchased Public Address System for community use. Decorated Business section for Christmas. Opposed increase rate at telephone company because of poor service and obsolete equipment. Erected two Lions Welcome signs. Organized Cemetery Association. Completed Baseball grounds at high school. All membership reports received on time. Presented five-year perfect attendance award to D. C. Clayton, Sam Kelley, Pope Ballinger, and H. P. Johnson. Presented ten-year perfect attendance award to Ben Lane and Lon D. Edwards. Presented fifteen-year perfect attendance award to Harry Daily.

1947 – 1948: Robert L. Martin, President
Cleaned cemetery. Organized Boy Scout Troop. Realized $1200 from Carnival. Bought Christmas Basket for needy family. Purchased 100 pounds of wheat for Friendship Train. Fitted six persons with glasses. Staged musical at high school. Contributed $25 to March of Dimes. Financed one Tonsillectomy. Took census of city. Bought $200 bed in County Hospital. Sponsored Cancer control. All membership reports received on time.

1946 – 1947: Edward W. Kee, President
Sponsored cleaning at old cemetery. Sought improved telephone service. Ladies Nights. Sponsored street carnival and raised $900 for high school band and playground equipment. Held Christmas Party. All membership reports received on time. Presented four keys.

1945 – 1946: H. P. Johnson
Held Christmas Party. Conducted United Clothing collection. Induction of members. Host to District Governor. Sponsored gum machine for blind fund. All members’ reports received on time. Presented one key.

1944 – 1945: D. C. Clayton, President
Gave $25 to man and financed one eye examination. Fitted one person with eye glasses. Host to District Governor and delegation from Cleburne Lions Club at Ladies Night. Gave financial aid to family. Sponsored War Fund. Donated $25 to War Fund and $18 to Girl Scouts. Gave $50 to Cemetery Fund.  Donated $25 towards wheelchair for invalid. Raised $400 for maintenance of cemetery. Sponsored Magic Show for benefit of Welfare Fund.

1943 – 1944: Sam Kelley, President
Host to District Governor at Ladies Night. Donated $100 to help control Infantile Paralysis Epidemic. Fitted one person with eyeglasses. Netted $331 from Chair and Victrola Draw for sight conservation and Polio drive. Donated $25 to two Polio cases and $50 to another, also $50 to disaster stricken family. Co-sponsored Blood Donor Center. Gave $10 to family. Contributed $25 to Red Cross. Financed several eye treatments. Erected five Lions Welcome signs. Voted to collect tin cans and waste fats. All membership reports received on time.

1942 – 1943: Daniel D. Beyer, President
Examined and fitted three persons with glasses. Collected scrap metal, proceeds for Boy Scouts. Raised $80 to clean up cemetery. Ladies Nights. Sponsored President’s Birthday Ball. Conducted membership Development program. Realized $210 on Minstrel Show for gym equipment. Members bought War Bonds. Observed Founders Week. Sponsored First Aide class. Contributed $140 to high school towards stage curtain. Sponsored Boy Scout Troop. Presented three keys. Presented Master Key to Dr. D. D. Beyer.

1941 – 1942: Tom S. Senter, President
Cleared $35 on Magician’s Show, proceeds for Boy Scouts. Sponsored Paint-Up Campaign netted $279 on street carnival. Fitted seven persons with glasses. Provided food for high school students. Conducted Christmas Home Decoration Contest and awarded prize. Helped pay boy’s doctor bill. Presented one key.

1940 – 1941: John Prestridge, President
Sponsored carnival and netted $426.60 with which to buy uniforms for High School Band. Presented three keys.

1939 – 1940: Dr. W. J. Cummings, President
Held Charter night banquet. Conducted a membership development program. Bought hot lunches for undernourished high school students. Campaigned for new fire truck and equipment. Built rock fence around cemetery. Presented three keys.
