June 2011: Donkey Derby. 3,000 people attended and £5,000 was raised. The proceeds of the event are shared between the Lions Club and 3rd Chesham St Mary’s Scouts.

May 2011: Chesham Beer Festival at Chesham United Football Club. 300 people attended and £1,250 was raised for charity.

May 2011: The Poets of Tin Pan Alley with The Martin Hart Quintet & Lynn Garner. 120 people attended and £1,000 was raised for charity.

May 2011: presentation of the Easter Pub Raffle Shield to the Landlords (Nigel & Sam Byatt) of the Swan Public House, Ley Hill, by John Suckling (Lions President) as they again raised the most money in the raffle (£150 out of £590).

April 2011: New water well at Faru Sunkade (Nigeria) commissioned by the club and installed by Ibadan Lions Club. The club has commissioned more than 50 such wells since the late 1970s

December 2010: 600 Christmas food parcels were distributed to the needy in the area. Supported by Mayors from both Amersham and Chesham and our MP Cheryl Gillam

May 2008: Welfare Chairman Ron Newall and President Tony Johns present a cheque for £500 to Shed@ThePark which runs theatre workshops for children and young people at Chesham Park Community College
