Both Lion Martin his daughter Louise are looking forward to participating in the 2011 Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service Mountin Bike Bash. This year the ride will commence in Rylstone on Saturday 17 September and wind its way to Tamworth, reaching there seven days later.

Lion Martin has now participated in two of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Mountain Bike Bashs. In 2010 he was joined by his daughter Louise. They gathered in Tamworth on Saturday morning 18 September 2010 for an eight day ride  around the area, visiting Kootingal, Manilla, Baraba, Narrabri and Gunnedah.

Riders and support crew travelled to Glen Innes on Friday 11 September and ended up in Tamworth on 19 September. The ride was part of the fund raising effort to support the local rescue helicopter, which has helped injured New Englanders get urgent medical assistance and transport to hospital.
