SOLES 4 SOULS

The Atwater Lions Club has announced a project of collecting useable shoes or sneakers, or any type of shoe to be sent to those who need footwear. Look in your closets and see if you can find a donation to help the cause.

Dropoff sites are at the PRO-FITNESS ​building, at the ​CITY OF ATWATER office, and the latest addition The Atwater Liquour store..

The Atwater Lions wish to thank you for your donation to this worthy cause.

CENTENNIAL PARK SHELTER AND PICNIC TABLE PROJECT

The Atwater Lions Club and the Active Acres 4-H Club have joined together in a project to improve the appearance of the park shelter and surrounding picnic tables. On ​Wednesday, August 9th, at 6PM, ​the shelter and picnic tables will be power washed in preparation for both to be stained when sufficiently dry. Come join us in prepartion to do the task or just to watch the activity. When sufficently dry, there will be a date announced when the staining will be done. UPDATE, Wednesday, July 18, 2018, has been set to stain from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. 

​ATWATER LIONS FOOD CONCESSIONS

​The Atwater Lions Club provided the food concessions at the recent Atwater Threshing Days on September 9th and 10th at the threshing grounds located just east of Atwater, MN. Members efforts, along with the efforts of volunteers from two youth groups, resulted in a succesful event. Thank  you  volunteers.

DISTRICT 5M4 AND ATWATER LIONS CLUB UNDERTAKE KIDSIGHT PROJECT.

The Atwater Lions Club will be under taking a Community Eye Screening of all children from the ages of 6 months to 6 years of age to detect the risk factors of amblyopia. Every child deserves to see the world clealy. The name of the program is Lions Kidsight USA.  Please invite your friends and neighbors with the ages mentioned above to take advantage of this program. Check the Lions calendar for locations and times.

ATWATER LIONS CLUB ANNUAL SWEATER SALE

​The Atwater Lions Club will be sponsoring a sweater sale in conjunction with the annual AAHFS Soup Supper and Bake Sale.The start of Christmas shopping can be by viewing the great selections of specially priced sweaters. 

DOLLAR  GENERAL AND ATWATER LIONS MITTEN PROJECT

​ ​Several years ago the Atwater Lions provided gloves and hats to the ACGC Elementary school for those students in need of gloves and hats. As we progressed from that time, local church groups  have joined to provide head apparell which soon developed a need for gloves. The Dollar General organization has generously joined us this year in donating much needed gloves. The Atwater Lions wish to give a shouting "Thank you" to the local Dollar General store management and the Dollar General organization.
