SENIORS CHRISTMAS DINNER

Beachmere Lions organise Christmas Dinner for Seniors 60year and over who live on their own  in their own home, in the Beachmere Community and do not have family close by.

Beachmere Lions provide a hot meal and entertainment on the day to seniors in the community  who maybe at risk of not having family support on this day.

Each guest receives a Gift Bag to take home. The gifts have been donated by local businesses, State and Federal Government members, Councilors, and Beachmere Lions.

If you know of a senior person within the Beachmere Community who is over 60yo and living on their own, in their own home and who may benefit from a invitation to the Seniors Christmas Dinner held in December, please contact Beachmere Lions

CARTMIL RIDING FOR THE DISABLED

Beachmere Lions cater to the Disabled patrons and their families four times a year.  Beachmere Lions donate bread and funding in support of this worthy, not for profit organisation who do and excellent job with the disabled.

Cartmil Riding School was badly affected by the floods in 2009 where they lost horses and equipment.  Beachmere Lions, along with other Lions Clubs and community organisations pulled together to provided man power and funding to get this important resource back in working condition to enable staff to provide necessary activities and respite to the disabled and their families.

Paul Buckman goes along religiously (as a representative of the Beachmere Lions Club) with fellow Lions Volunteers to provide a sausage sizzle, as seen here

CAMP QUALITY BRIBIE ISLAND

Camp Quality project is an activity where many clubs and volunteers come together on the day and donate their time and services to children and their families who are affected by cancer.

Please contact Beachmere Lions if you are available to assist in November 2011 on Bribie Island.

Beachmere Lions will be providing a sausage sizzle to the children and families on the day and are one of many various food stalls on the day.

Activities on the day range from rides on a Harley Davidson and in a Corvette to jumping castles and performances by local children.

So come along and volunteer your time to help in bringing optimism and happiness to the lives of the children and their families
