342 BEDFORD LIONS ROYAL CANADIAN AIR CADET SQUADRON 

The Bedford Lions Club is the very proud sponsor of our own "342 BEDFORD LIONS ROYAL CANADIAN AIR CADET SQUADRON". This squadron has helped mold cadets into fine young men and women by the time they reach the maximum cadet age of 18 years. Some cadets join the squadron as early as age 12,  remaining to age 18. Over the years these young people learn many skills from survival training to public speaking. Cadets get to experience Glider flying and many earn their Glider wings. Others have even learned to become licensed Private Pilots. Cadets get an opportunity to travel to other provinces, even other countries on exchange programs. Cadets from our squadron have received full scholarships to the Royal Military College to study full degree programs such as Aeronautical Engineering.
