Bloomington Lions Club is located in the city of Bloomington, MN a thriving community of over 85,000 residents located just south of Minneapolis.

We are drawn together in a spirit of service and fellowship to volunteer our time and talent to humanitarian causes in our local and world communities. By conducting service projects and raising funds, we strive to help those in need, wherever need exists. Our motto is “We Serve.” Today our Club has over 60 members.

Since the club’s chartering in 1951, we have worked on a variety of projects in the local community, such as an annual Pancake Breakfast, now in its 35th year, a Fall Spaghetti Dinner and the Corn Booth at the Virg Ellrich Softball Tournament.

Proceeds from past fundraising events have gone to many Bloomington causes, including Education Foundation scholarships, audio describers for the Civic Theater productions, Independent School District 271, Camp Invention scholarships, equipment for the Fire Department, and eye examinations/glasses for needy students.

The club also supports area organizations, such as Bridging, Cornerstone, H.O.M.E., Tree Trust, Camp Needlepoint, Minnesota Lions Eye Bank, Minnesota Lions Hearing Center and Leader Dogs for the Blind.
