Welcome to the Boardman Lions
Due to the closing of the Youngstown Sports Grill, the next meeting of the Boardman Lions has been changed. We will be meeting at Caffe Capri at 6:30 pm on Thursday, April 19 (note that this is not the 2nd Thursday of the month). Please join us there!
Boardman Lions held a “Buckeye for Bud” tree planting ceremony to recognize long time Lion Lloyd “Bud” Jenkins. In honor of PCC Bud’s many years of local and statewide service to Lions, the revitalization of the Boardman Lions Club, and in conjunction with the Lions’ Club International goal of planting one million trees, an Ohio buckeye tree was planted in Boardman Park and dedicated with a plaque at a short ceremony on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 outside of the park office. The Coats for Kids event was very successful. Fifty-two children from Boardman came with their families to select new coats from Target. Twenty-six families will not have to worry about keeping their children warm this winter. A special thanks to all who donated to this project. We could not have done it without you. If you would like to donate, we are already fundraising for next year. To make a donation, click here. Be sure to visit our photos page.
