SERVICE

Boston Host Lions Club is active in many notable service projects in the city. For example, the Club is an ardent sponsor of the Lions District 33K Eyemobile, providing free vision, hearing and blood pressure screenings at wellness centers, and community events.

Our current service projects include:

  • Donating and collecting new and gently used books and magazines, new eyeglass readers, and greeting cards for patients' comfort at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).
  • Sponsoring LCI's Peace Poster Contest, promoting world peace through one child at a time, for children in Nazzaro Center's after school program, Boston Boys and Girls Club, and the West End Community Center. (Video here)

FUNDRAISING

Unlike most organizations, Boston Host Lions Club gives 100% of donations back to the community and covers all costs through dues and donations from members. Club members raise funds through our annual gift wrapping event at Barnes & Noble at the Prudential Center, yearly fundraiser 'Bunnies (& Friends) for Babies" selling chocolate bunnies at Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary and members' offices, canister collections, Lions Club mint sales and yard sales.
