The burning outhouse in our Club logo is in commemoration of Bowsman's claim to fame, the Biffy Burning. This happened on New Year's Eve as part of the celebration for Canada's Centennial Year, which was in 1967. The townspeople of Bowsman, Manitoba burned their outhouses to celebrate the arrival of sewer service to the town. Apparently Bowsman's postal code was changed to R0L 0H0 which stands for "Roll Our Loyal Out Houses Over" in honour of this event. More photos and information about this historic event can be found in our Facebook photo album called "The Bowsman Biffy Burning".
