A stock of large-print books is maintained for loan to retirement homes in the city for the benefit of residents who find it difficult to visit the lending libraries.

Members of the Club regularly attend a number of local retirement homes to run bingo sessions for the residents, and act as volunteer drivers to a social club for people who have suffered strokes and to take local blind people to their social club.

The Club have for many years taken a party of children to Drusilla's Zoo Park for a day during the summer and another party to a pantomime in the winter.

Another youth project is the sponsorship of Patcham United in the Lions Multiple District 105 International Under 14 Football Competition.
