Hello GSB Lions!

November 2011

The next general meeting will be on Tuesday, November 1 at Bianca Luna in Medford. * FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT SURE OF WHEN THE MEETINGS ARE, THEY ARE ON THE 1^ST AND 3^RD TUESDAYS OF EVERY MONTH. The meetings are going to be at Bianca Luna unless otherwise stated. We are looking forward to a guest speaker, Meryl from Special Olympics for the November 1 meeting.

The first food drive of the season was held on October 15^th.  Thank you to all who participated.  We will be discussing having another one in the future.

 UPCOMING EVENTS:

 NOVEMBER 7^th- Monday, FALL CONFERENCE, Captain Bill’s in Bay Shore from 6:30 pm-10pm. $50 per ticket.  We would like to get a table together. The money has to be given to either Leah Jefferson or Carmen Reichelt as soon as possible.

DECEMBER 6^ND- Tuesday- Holiday Party at Bianca Luna’s from 7-9PM.  Please bring a holiday gift worth $10.00 if you wish to participate in the grab bag.

WE ARE PLANNING OUR FUNDRAISER FOR FEBRUARY 12, 2012- MARDI GRAS!! We need lots of ideas and help to decide on a place and the type of food that we will be having.  We will need someone to replace Gloria Burton as chairperson since she cannot participate at this capacity due to Charlie’s poor health.  Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as Charlie just had more surgery upstate and they will be there for a while.
