Projects of the Burlingame Lions Club

Many of our projects are provided solely as a Community service project, such as our Easter Egg Hunt, or cooking breakfast for the Family Campout at Washington Park.  Some of our other projects are conducted to raise funds for our community projects, as well as our Lions Organization projects.  All funds generated from these public fundraisers, are funneled back into community service projects.

Cars-in-the-Park

Cars-in-the-Park is an event where vintage cars on display in the picturesque setting of Washinton Park.  The day is filled with music, car judging, raffles, awards, and food.  It's a great event, where we can raise funds for our projects, while people have a great time viewing the cars on display.

The Burlingame Lions Basketball Tournament

The Burlingame Lions Basketball tournament is organized with Burlingame High School.  It was begun in 1977, and is the longest, continuous running basketball tournament on the Peninsula.  Throughout its history, we've seen a number of players, who have gone on to great careers in basketball.

The Lions Easter Egg Hunt

The Burlingame Lions Club holds its Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast each year at Washington Park, rain or shine.  Music and fun activities make this event fun for the whole family.

Backpack Palooza

The United Methodist Church hands out school supplies in a backpack to children in the community.  Our Club provides hot dogs for all the families participating in this program.

Burlingame Campout at Washington Park

The Burlingame Rec Department has an overnight camping event once a year at Washington Park.  On this evening, families camp out on the field, and are treated to fun activities, and a full length movie.  The Lions Club hosts a pancake breakfast for all the families when they wake up the next morning.  It's a wonderful family event, and we're happy to be a part of it.
