Meetings

Lions are volunteers who serve the community. Our Club's service activities include an annual hearing and vision screening of children in the elementary school. Optometrist exams and glasses are provided free to needy children. Some children are referred to The Lighthouse for further evaluation and possible surgery. Sight First is a global prevention program. Our service also includes the Georgia Camp for the Blind.

Local Boy Scout Troop 635 is sponsored by the Club to assist in maintaining the Scout building and grounds, making trips for completion of badges, and working on special projects in the community.

Lions participate in educational projects emphasizing diabetes awareness, education, and research. Glaucoma is a leading cause of blindness in the world. Our mission is to rid the world of preventable and reversible blindness.

Lions Clubs International is a charitable foundation (LCIF) providing grants and support for humanitarian services and disaster relief such as Haiti, Hurricane Katrina, Indonesia, and 911.
