Lion Dick Singpiel attended Lions Diabetes Tour at UofM in St Paul MN on 3/29/14 brought back lots of Information on research and progress with Stem Cell & Springpoint Diabetes research.

Donated $50 towards Carlton Wellness Community 5K walk & Health Fair

Conducted Annual Flower Basket & Plant sale sold 130 baskets & 110 4” potted plants our Club netted $1606.10 2013 net $1370.00
5/3/14 Served Meals for Carlton High School Dinner Theater 5 Lions worked and 55 meals were served
Spring Hwy Pick Up 5/5/14, 13 Lions and 2 Guests picked up and then enjoyed fellowship and steak dinner
5/8&9/14 Gave away for Arbor day, 350 trees at 5 local schools to 4 graders, information about Lionism and why we should plant trees was discussed with all the young kids
5/17/14 Helped with Carlton Bike Rodeo, 3 Lions helped with safety checks, skills test, hand signals & helmet giveaway 27 youth bikers
5/19/14 Spring Senior Citizen Bingo at Inter Faith Care Center
About 60 seniors enjoyed $150 in cash prizes and coffee and donuts afterwards Big Thanks to 11 Lions & 2 Potential Lions
5/22/14 5 Lions helped serve Carlton High Athletic Banquet to about 100 students & family members

7/26/14 Held Lions Giant Annual Auction at Carlton VFW in conjunction with Carlton Daze Celebration, all Lions helped collect items 6 helped with Auction and Guests, raised $3345.00
7/26/14 In conjunction with Carlton Daze had Carlton Lions Service Day Information Tent from 10am-4pm, 5 Lions Helped, Diabetes screening conducted by Marilyn Marciniak & Helper from Cloquet Community Memorial Hospital,30 plus screened. Also gave out about 130 fresh healthy fruit kabob snacks
Can do Canines assist dog visit, Laurie Carlson with Ann Ord and her hearing assist dog visited from 10-12 and Amy Molis with a Duluth Prison system puppy visited from 12-2.
DR’s Sasha and Chris from Northern MN Eyecare were there to answer questions on eye health. Former members and we use them for eyeglass purchases in our area
Had our antique Lions Club Fire truck parked by tent for kids to get pictures taken on and sign up to ride in parade Sunday on truck
We had many visitors who we talked about our Club and Lions & displayed our memorabilia cabinet & Eyeglass collection box
7/27/14 2 Lions & Guests drove Fire Truck after Honor Guard in Carlton Daze parade tossing out candy while 4 Lions sold annual summer raffle tickets along parade route. Drawing after parade for 10 lucky winners and Club raised $3049.75

8/1&2 10 Lions worked our Burger Barn food booth at the Carlton Fair grounds for the 2014 Trappers Convention we raised $1000.00
8/11 & 14-17/2014 Almost our whole club and many volunteer guests helped run our annual Burger Barn food booth for the Carlton County Fair we raised $3500.00
