Castlegar Lions Club Donates 

  Water Wheelchair! 

We are extremely pleased to announce that the Castlegar Selkirk Lions Club has donated a new water wheelchair to the Castlegar & District Aquatic Centre.

The CDRD is thrilled with the generosity of the Castlegar Lions Club!  On behalf of the Castlegar Aquatic Centre and our patrons, we would like to thank the Castlegar Lions Club for their donation.

The new chair will ensure continued assistance to patrons who may have limited or impaired mobility, special handicaps, or suffer from a chronic health condition who may benefit from aquatic therapy or rehabilitation.

Joanne Baker, Lions Club Secretary states: "We are very pleased that we could purchase this water wheelchair to improve the well-being of the local patrons.  We like to support local needs and this has been made possible with the support we receive from the community at our fundraising events!"

In cooperation with Columbia Power Corp a second wheelchair has been purchased!
