Once a year, in February, the CCEBH LIons Club sponsors a Speakers contest for high school students in our area. The contest is held at various levels, Club level, Zone level and Region level. Each student receives $25.00 for participation. The winner receives $75.00.

Our last contest was held on Wednesday February 16, 2011 at the Los Angeles Police Station.

Twice a year our club holds a free eye screening at the Plaza de Mariachi in Boyle Heights.
Glasses are provided to those who are financially unable to purchase glasses on their own and in special cases, assistance in the form of guidance for surgery is provided .

On Flag Day 2010, our club provided 650 flags to the Griffin Elementary School.

In a world crisis such as the Haiti and Chile earthquake, the CCEBH Lions Club held Fundraisers to produce enough money to help those in need.
