WHO ARE THE CHILLICOTHE EVENING LIONS?
We have proudly served the Chillicothe, Ohio and Ross County community since 1924.
Our members (over 80 men & women) share a core belief - our community is what we make it. We help where help is needed. In short: We Serve.
100% of the profit from our fundraisers is distributed to charity.
Since 1924 we have raised and distributed over $1,000,000.00 to charitable causes.
Recent Projects:
- Donated $3000 to the Assistance House.
- Funded four $1000 college scholarships.
- Collected, counted and sorted over 3,500 pair of used eyeglasses. (Over 100,000 pairs to date).
- Donated personal hygiene items to Ross County Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
- Adopted 3 needy families for Christmas.
- Purchased eyeglasses for needy children.
- Helped fund the Chillicothe Fire Dept Smart Choices Program.
- Helped fund Kamp Dovetail, a camp for children with disabilities.
Fundraisers:
- We put out almost 700 flags on 8 national holidays in front of businesses.
- 3 Fish fries.
- Raffle.
- Golf Tournament.
- Food Booth at the Ross County Fair. (since 1946)
