2015 OFFICIAL WALLEYE DERBY RULES AND REGULATIONS
Receipt of paid Entry Ticket indicates acceptance of Derby Rules and Regulations.
1. All walleyes must be caught after 12:01 a.m., May 2nd, in Oneida Lake, its tributaries or estuaries with boundaries as follows:
Oneida River – only upstream from Caughdenoy Dam
Oneida River Cut – Lock 23
Chittenango Creek – 1 mile upstream from Rt. 31 Bridge
Fish Creek – Downstream from where East & West Branch connect
Scriba Creek – 1 mile upstream from 1st County Rt. 23 Bridge
East Barge Canal – 1 mile east of Fish Creek
All other creeks or streams – 1 mile upstream from Oneida Lake
2. All walleyes must be ALIVE for entry at measuring station.
3. Entry Ticket: $10 each. Purchase deadline: 12:01 A.M., May 2, 2015.
4. All entrants, at time of entry must give a telephone number and a valid email address where they can be reached for Truth Verification Test. 1st-3rd place winners must take a Truth Verification Test. (See Rule 7)

MEASURING STATION HOURS: (with exception of stations 2 & 5)
Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Stations 2 & 5 are continuous from 1 a.m. Saturday – 3 p.m. Sunday
No fish will be weighted before or after hours.
6. SIZE CONTEST: All walleyes will be measured until the DERBY SIZE BOARD has 25 entries!!! (Walleyes must be the minimum New York State angling length of 15” or larger!)
a) After the board has 25 walleyes listed: Headquarter Officials will establish a cut-off of the Top 25 entered walleyes.
b) The Official Derby Size Board will be maintained at Derby Headquarters – Bartel Road Bait & Tackle, Brewerton until 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 4.
c) Entrants MUST check the Size Board at Bartel Road Bait & Tackle, Brewerton AFTER 3:30 p.m. Sunday, to ensure their qualified walleye is on the Size Board, and report any errors to Headquarter Officials. NO changes on the Official Derby Size Board will be accepted after 4:30 p.m.
d) Entrants must get a copy of their ENTRY Form from the Measuring Station when they enter a walleye.
e) The Measuring Station will call Derby Headquarters with any eligible fish that is to be put on the Official Derby Size Board. An entrant may enter a larger walleye than previously entered during the Derby, but only ONE SIZE CONTEST PRIZE may be granted per entrant
f) Contest results are not final until 4:30 p.m., May 4, 2015. WINNERS WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE FOLLOWING: 1st: Length; 2nd: Weight; 3rd: Girth; 4th: TOSS OF COIN
7. 1st – 3rd place winners must take a truth verification test at Bartel Road Bait & Tackle, Brewerton, between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Sunday May 3, 2015. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of award and entrant will be dropped to fourth place! The 1st-3rd place walleyes should be present on Sunday for public viewing.
8. The entrant with the largest eligible walleye entered at each measuring station each day will get $25.00 at the awards presentation on Sunday.
9. Daily Draw Tickets: Each paid entrant will receive 5 raffle tickets good for both days. Tickets can be collected at either a weigh station or Derby Headquarters. Upon receiving the 5 raffle tickets your ENTRY ticket will be hole punched. Drawings are Saturday and Sunday at Derby Headquarters. Ticket holders must be present to win and cannot win more than once with the same number.
10. Bonus Draw Ticket: Each DERBY ENTRY includes one ticket. This is retained with your paid stub. The Derby Officials will enter it into the drawing which will be drawn prior to the 25 Size Contest Awards Sunday. Winners need not be present, but will be responsible for arranging to pick up their prize. All prizes must be claimed within two weeks from date of the Derby.
11. Cicero-Mattydale Lions Club reserves the right to have any walleye examined by DEC or fish biologist. Any walleye entered may be held until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2015.
12. Presentation of Awards and Drawings will start at 4:30 p.m., Sunday May 4th at Bartel Road Bait & Tackle, Brewerton.
13. Decision of the Cicero-Mattydale Lions Club will be final.
14. Tagged Fish Derby Value: $1,000, $500, and $250
Prize Values after 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 3th until midnight Labor Day September 1, 2015: $100, $50, $25
Valid 2015 Derby Entry Ticket and Fish Tag required.

Three (3) Oneida Lake Walleyes will be tagged about April 15th.
The tags are registered with fishtagger.com. Tag info will be posted at 8 a.m.

DAILY DRAW PRIZES
During measuring station hours or prior to drawings at Bartle Road Bait &Tackle, have your Entry ticket punched to receive Daily Drawing Tickets. Five tickets allocated per Derby Entry ticket. Drawing tickets are good for both Saturday and Sunday. Winner must be present to win. An entrant may not win twice with the same ticket number.
