A huge thanks to Kurt Gutbrod and his 5th grade class at Blue Heron elementary school!  They collected 564 pair of eyeglasses this year for our Lion’s club vision program.  Kurt has been part of this project for over 20 years.

We educate the students about our vision projects including the Eye Bank, Donor Cards, Helen Keller’s Challenge to the Lions for the blind, and third world countries where the eyeglasses are delivered.

Mark your calendar!  September 9th, 2016.   The Sandburr Golf tournament at Chomonix Golf Course will be here before you know it!

The theme for this year's Lions International Peace Poster contest was "Share Peace" at the Centennial Middle School. Fifty-three entries received from students were judged by Centennial faculty.

The winner was a poster submitted by a 12-year-old student who titled her entry "Peace in the Galaxy." The poster will advance in competition throughout the Lions organization with the final winner determined by Lions International.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
