CP Volunteer of The Year Award Nomination Form is at this Link

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of College Place Lions the club is inviting the community

to join them in honoring volunteerism. David Walk, CP Lions President said, “Beginning this week people are invited to nominate a 2012 Volunteer of the Year for College Place. Nominations will remain open through December 3rd for volunteers whose service benefits the College Place area. The nominee should have a past history of volunteer work with various groups and a dedication to volunteerism over a period of years.”

Walk said, “Rather than just give a certificate or trophy to the winner our Lions Club has voted to give $500 to the organization or cause the volunteer supports. For instance, if the nominated volunteer does service for Sonbridge or for the SOS Clinic, for their church, or for the City or for a school, etc., then that organization in the name of this Year’s Volunteer of the Year will receive that cash award. We hope to raise more than the $500 but that’s where we’ll start.”

The Annual College Place Volunteer of the Year Awards Ceremony will be held on Sunday, January 13th, 2013 at the College Place Lions Club. To get a nomination form simply Google CollegePlaceLions (one word) and download a nomination form, fill it out and email it the collegeplacelions@gmail.com or snail mail to College Place Lions Club, Attention: Volunteer of the Year Committee, PO Box 503, College Place, WA 99324.

David Walk said, “The College Place Lions Club is grateful to our community partners who help us serve the public.  Our members and friends will be contacting College Place residents and businesses to get involved with us in this project.”

The College Place Lions Club is located at 801 SE Larch Street in College Place. For more information call David at 200.1114.
