Eagle Scout Receives Sons of the American Revolution Scholarship Denver, Co – May 13, 2017. On Saturday, May 13, at its Quarterly Meeting held at Mimi’s Café in Lone Tree, the Mount Evans Chapter of the Colorado State Society of the Sons of the American Revolution awarded Jordan Reisenberg of Parker, CO a $500 scholarship to be used at a college of his choice. “Jordan is an amazing young man,” observed Captain Bob Easterly (U.S.N.R., Ret.), President of the Mount Evans Chapter. “Despite his medical challenges, he is an Eagle Scout with over 86 merit badges while participating in the Civilian Air Patrol and other activities. It is young adults such as Jordan that are the future of our country.

Jordan participated in the Mount Evans SAR Chapter by submitting an essay on the American Revolutionary War. Coming in first place in the Chapter competition, Jordan received a $500 check and an SAR Eagle Scout medal. Jordan also had competed for the Colorado State SAR scholarship, narrowly missing the top prize.  “I am very grateful to the Mount Evans Chapter for this honor,” Jordan said to the over 40 Chapter members attending the meeting. Jordan hopes to attend Embry-Riddell Aeronautical University and begin a career as a pilot. Joining Jordan for the ceremony were his mother Ronette and his chocolate lab diabetic alert service dog Hanz.
