The Corte Madera Lions Club was established in 1951 and members built the current Corte Madera Recreation Center for the community. It was donated to the Town of Corte Madera in 1978 but the club continues to use the facility for office space as well as holding regularly scheduled meetings and events. Our two big events are our Crab Feast which is held each February and our Beer Garden and hot dog booth on July 4th. Money raised from these events is donated to local programs including the Twin Cities Little League, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boy Scouts, Canine Companions, the Corte Madera Recreation Center Summer Camperships, Twin Cities Police Department Youth Programs and Advokids. We co-host Oktoberfest with the Corte Madera Beautification Committee which is held on the 2nd Saturday in October. We are interested in men and women as members who want to give something back to the community as well as joining us for dinner meetings with interested speakers.
Old eyeglasses without cases may be dropped off at the Recreation Center located at 498 Tamalpais Blvd during regular business hours.
Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.
