In October of 2020 local lions clubs sprang into action when, Lake Charles, Lousiana was hit by hurricanes Laura and Delta. The Pennsylvania Lions Clubs, made up of 18,000 members across the state, loaded up supplies in an eighteen-wheeler truck. Our mission is simple, "We Serve." We are proud of our ongoing efforts to support our local, national, and international communities.
Thank you to our sponsors, players and volunteers for a successful outing.

First-ever Bowl-a-Thon was a big success
by Mike Doerfler
On Saturday, August 15, the Cranberry Township Area, Butler Area, and Evans City Area Lions Clubs joined together to hold 1ST Annual Lions Clubs bowl-a-thon, benefitting a tremendously special event called ‘A Night to Remember!’ The Lions Clubs bowl-a-thon was held at the Family Bowlaway Fun Center in Butler.
A total of thirty-four bowlers arrived, eager to bowl, and everyone enjoyed pizza, pop, a 50-50 raffle and a very fun filled evening. Bowlers ranged from local area Lions and Leos, Butler Blind Association clients and staff, ‘A Night to Remember’ Director, Bryan Gratton and his daughter, Mia, to gracious folks who came out to have a good time while supporting a wonderful cause. Thanks to all who supported our Community Days Pancake Breakfast and Bison Burger Dinner. We enjoyed flipping pancakes since 2000 and from all accounts, it is a favorite tradition to kick-off a fun day at Community Days. This year, we raised more than $2,000, to support projects for those with visual impairments.
The breakfast was a huge success this year as 488 people were served and many items were donated by area restaurants. Special thanks to pancake breakfast sponsors and donors: Andora Restaurant, Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, Andrea’s Country Gift Shop, Cheeburger-Cheeburger, Costco, Denny’s Restaurant, Double Wide Grill, Eat ‘n Park-Mars, Freedom Square Diner, Giant Eagle-Seven Fields, Great Clips, Jimmy’s Strip District Grille, Kiva Han Coffee, Loafer’s Bread Company, Luciano’s Italian Brick Oven, McDonald’s-Rt. 228, Philly Soft Pretzel, Pittsburgh Marriott North, Primanti Bros., Quaker Steak & Lube, Seven Fields Veterinary Hospital, Starbucks Coffee, Shop ‘n Save-Cranberry Twp., Sports Grille, and Springfield Grille-Mars
Additionally, webegan a new tradition with our first bison burger dinner at Community Days, to celebrate the history of Cranberry - when the Seneca Indians lived in the area. We hope the bison burger dinner also becomes a Community Days. Thanks to all who helped with this event" Lion Elmer Ebeck, Moe’s Southwest Grille-Cranberry, McElhinny’s Evans City Corn and John Marshall Catering/Bakerstown.
