Crookston Lions Mobile Stage debuted at the Downtown Square

The successful fundraising effort led by the Crookston Lions that resulted in their “Mobile Stage” project becoming a reality was celebrated at Town Square Tuesday, with musical performances.
The Crookston Lions set a $25,000 goal to construct the stage, which, as its name suggests, is portable and can be used for events across the community.

Sponsors and “major” donors include Altru Clinic, American Crystal Sugar, Best Used Trucks, Bremer Bank, Crookston Area Community Fund, DeBoer Industries, Otter Tail Power, PolyCell Technologies, RiverView Health, AgriMax, Beggs Insurance, Carman View Estates/Kevin Ross, and Fred Parnow.

Eyeglasses and Hearing Aid Donation Boxes

As part of our mission to support various sight related groups, we have set up donation boxes at several locations throughout Crookston to collect used eyeglasses.  The drop boxes can be found at: Riverview Health Care, US Post Office, Crookston Eye Clinic, Eagle Thrifty While Pharmacy, Opticare, City Hall, UM Crookston Sargeant Student Center and Swanson Law.  Not only are these boxes for eyeglasses, but also hearing aids.  Look for boxes in these locations to donate your used eyeglasses and hearing aids.
