WHO ARE WE?

Founded on October 11 of 1951 and sponsored by the Woonsocket Lions Club, the Cumberland Lions Club is a group of Good Hearted men and women who like to volunteer their services to help those less fortunate than us, in our community and around the world, providing them with food, clothing, eye glasses, hearing aids, Seeing Eye dogs, disaster relief assistance and much more. Our motto is:

"WE SERVE"

Right now we are supporting the Lions of New Zealand, Japan,Philippines, Pakistan and the areas affected by tornadoes and floods here in the US.

We also focus on helping our youth. Every year we provide 2 scholarships for two  qualified Cumberland High School seniors heading out to College. The students must go to the Guidance Department Office or to the Cumberland Library and ask for the Cumberland Lions Club application .

We are always looking for new members to help us serving those less fortunate than us. If you, or any member of your family and friends, are interested in joining us, please send us a message or contact any of our members that you might know.

The Cumberland Lions is mourning the loss of another great Lion!

Lion Zeke Cardozo left us this morning. Zeke became a member of the Cumberland Lions Club in October of 1951. He held many positions on the Club Board of Directors with his latest being the Membership Chairman; position that he held for many years.  

He brought in many members throughout the years. He was a Charter member, a life member and a Melvin Jones Fellow.

He will be missed by all!

To his wife Lion Mary Cardozo and the entire Cardozo family, our most deep Sympathy!
