The Dartmouth LIONS Club, with over 70 years of service to the community, is proud of its sponsorship of the 18 Dartmouth Lions Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, since 1951.

The Cadet Program is one of the finest youth development programs. It is community-based, and succeeds through strong community support and involvement. Cadets in turn make valuable contributions to their communities.

The Cadet Squadron is organized through the support of the Department of National Defence, The Cadet League of Canada, and the Dartmouth Lions Club.

As a member, a young person from age 12 till their 19th birthday, can participate in a variety of challenging, yet fun and rewarding, training activities while learning valuable life and vocational skills such as teamwork, leadership and citizenship. The Program also fosters development of the values of self-confidence and self-discipline while leaving a positive life-long impact through a set of positive youth outcomes.
