PRESIDENT SPAULDING’S SPITTLE:

 

 

He spit, he spat, but when he tried to spew spittle, his saliva was too little. Don't fret, no need to pout, some words here we'll get, without a doubt.

 

Lion President Kevin sent a Thanksgiving message by e-mail that might be worth going back and reading again. For those of you without e-mail, he mentioned many things to be grateful for that our club had accomplished in just the first few months of our fiscal year. He thanked all of us for being a LION and looked forward to the balance of his term as president.

 

Finally, he would probably say something about looking ahead to what is usually a busy second half of our LIONS year and then sign off by wishing everyone a Happy ending to Hanukkah, a Holy Christmas and a Blessed New Year! Ghost spat for… President KEVIN SPAULDING

MEETING MEALS: The membership list has been split up by Lion Allen Skabo into groups and each group has been assigned a month to cook/clean and be on a calling committee. Lion Bill Bergquist will continue to help, if requested. You will be notified which month you are responsible for. This month's crew is Lions Bill Bergquist, Mike Bergquist, Kent Gregoire, Randy Harms, Tim Mullikin and Jerry Waller. January is Lions Bradley Loween, Nathan Herbrandson, Dan Houska, Aaron Murray, Kyle Thormodson and Dave Knain.

 

MIXED STAG is February 13th.

 

.ITALIAN DINNER AND SPRING STAG are yet to be scheduled. There has been some discussion to move the Italian Dinner to the fall or early winter to spread our events out a bit. The 30th annual spring stag might be moved back a week into May. A suggestion from Past President Dave McLaughlin to change the Fall Dinner Raffle into a Gun Raffle and Chili Feed has merit, but we need your input on all these events.

THANK YOU to all those who participated in World Diabetes Day at Walmart on November 14th. About 40% of the participants were found to have diabetes or pre-diabetes!

DGF LEOS are looking for new members. Contact Advisers Nathan Herbrandson or Adrian Gaytan if you want to help or if you know someone that might be interested in joining.

 

 

SICK CALL: Lion Allen Skabo is recovering nicely from shoulder surgery. Lion Adrian Gaytan continues to recover from a serious arm injury. Lion Tim Mullikin is back on his horse delivering Mullyanno's, but is not 100%. Lion Aaron Murray had some foot problems and was off work earlier in the fall, but has his feet off the ground again, flying high. Lion Ray Flint had a stent installed in his heart and will be going back for by-pass surgery soon. Please keep all these Lions and their families in your thoughts and prayers. If you hear of an ailing Lion, please let us know.
