DISTRICT 14-T DISASTER RELIEF FUND HELPS

 THE DUNCANNON FIRE COMPANY

District Governor Dave McCluskey, along with members from the Duncannon Lions Club presented Kevin Bissonnette, President and members of the Duncannon Fire Company with a $1,000 check from the District 14-T Disaster Relief Fund. The presentation took place at the Duncannon Lions Club Campground.

The Duncannon Fire Company played a vital role in flood relief efforts this past year for the residents of Duncannon. The fire company spent endless hours evacuating families, providing food and water to those affected. Also, when the flood waters receded, they helped residents with pumping the water from their homes.

Duncannon Lions and the Susquehanna Apartments

Valentine's Day Luncheon

On February 12th the Duncannon Lions Club hosted a meal for the residents of Susquehanna Apartments in Duncannon. The meal was a picnic lunch, which consisted of bar-be-que, potato salad, macaroni salad, condiments and dessert. Each resident was also given a dish of valentine candy. The residents and the lions had a great time. For those residents that didn’t attend the “picnic” downstairs, the lions took meals to their apartments, which was greatly appreciated. All the residents enjoyed visiting with our mascot. Lions attending the event were King Lion Barb Wright, Lion Roger Wright, Lion Martine Sowers, Lion Scott Sowers (mascot for the day), Lion Julie Warfel, Lion Ron Warfel, Lion Scott Rothermel and Lion Lynn Rothermel.
