The Easley Lions Club's goal is to promote sight conservation in the Easley community. We are proud of the fact that we are citizens assisting local people who are in need of eye exams and eyeglasses. The Easley Lions Club organizes a variety of events throughout the year to raise funds for these services. We always have Brooms to sell and Lions Candy to distribute.

Annually, we hold a Pancake Breakfast at the Gettys Middle School. Every other year we hold a Huge Yard Sale at the First Baptist Church in Easley. We have joined the world of runners with our Lions Run For Sight fundraiser. We also collect used glasses and hearing aides. This year we particpated in 2011 Spring Fling Festival in downtown Easley.

Not all of our activities are fundraisers, though. We also, as a club, participate in Meals on Wheels and SHINE (a local program for feeding the hungry). We collect magazines to donate to our local hospital.

A catered meal from Taste of Distinction is served at each meeting. Our meetings usually include a special speaker whose topics can vary from local issues and concerns to international and global interests.

Our Lions Club takes seriously the charge given to us by Helen Keller to serve, and most importantly, to serve those with sight problems.

Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.
