Blind Seals
The Blind Seal Campaign has started. In September the Lions Blind Seals and donation solicitations were distributed with the PennySaver newspaper. Additional Blind Seals were also prepared to be included in the East Aurora Advertiser. Many of our donors use this as the opportunity to make their donation. We are blessed to live in such a generous community. Thanks to Lion Paul Waggoner for taking care of the printing and the newspaper contacts.
A special thanks to Lion Mary Ess and the residents of the Trinity Apartments who assembled the thousands of Lions Seals solicitation envelopes. Your efforts help insure donations to the Lions Club and therefore also help us to help others in our community.
Peace Poster Contest
Local students are participating in the Lions Peace Poster Contest. Thanks to Lion Ron LaBrake for coordinating this event with the East Aurora Middle School. Selected submissions will be entered in the District 20-N judging at the Sub-district Cabinet meeting on November 5.

Lions Steak Roast Was a Huge Success
The Lions Steak Roast at Elma Meadows in August is one of the highlights of our Lions year. This year the weather was perfect and no doubt helped with the large turnout. The food was excellent, the conversation was lively, and a good time was had by all. It was, of course, good to see the large contingent from the Wainfleet Lions Club, as well as the four past district governors who attended. It was also good to see friends from the Trinity Apartments, the many Lions, family, and friends.
A special thanks to past-president Lion Paul Waggoner, Lion Judy Waggoner, Dan Waggoner, Lion Ron LaBrake, and Gretchen LaBrake for their generous contributions of time and effort. And heartfelt thanks all those who brought food or supplies, helped communicate, helped to set up, did the 50-50, helped cleanup, and otherwise helped to make this a successful event. Thanks for all that you do.
