“LIGHT-UP” the Holidays
What is “Light-up” the Holidays?
This is our11th annual fundraiser for the E.H. Food Bank, E.H. Fuel bank and Youth & Family Services at Holiday time. With your help EHCL has donated over $40,000 in the last 10 years the East Haddam Food Bank, Fuel Bank, and Youth & Family Sevices.
Each Oct/Nov we invite all civic minded individuals and groups to donate decorated Holiday items, Décor, Gifts, and Gift Certficates. We receive them for display at the library on Saturday, November 25th between 1 - 3 pm.
They are then on display at Rathbun Free Memorial Library, November 27 - December 8. During this time advertising and a catalogue are distributed. A silent auction takes place. (Viewers can bid on the exhibits at anytime during library hours)
We host an annual Holiday Party with wine, refreshments and entertainment on Friday, December 2nd 7 - 9 pm., open to everyone, to round off our auction. All donations are acknowledged in the program and again on signage where exhibits are displayed.
We encourage creativity and originality and each year we are awed by the display (over 60 items last year), that transforms Rathbun Library and raises funds for the needy in our community.

Monday: 10am - 6pm
Tuesday: 10am - 6pm
Wednesday: 10am - 6pm
Thursday: 10am - 8pm
Friday: 10am - 6pm
Saturday: 10am - 1pm
