Eye Tissue Delivery

The Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin, Inc. is a team of professionals and volunteers dedicated to restoring the Gift of Sight through transplantation of corneas, research to advance the knowledge and treatment of eye diseases, and education to increase donations of human eyes after death. The Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin serves the entire state and has its laboratory and offices in Madison, Wisconsin. The Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin fulfills this mission by procuring, processing, and distributing eye tissue to corneal transplant surgeons, researchers, and teachers.

Equally as important is our commitment to education through our network of medical professionals, Lions and Lioness Clubs and members, and other volunteers who give generously of their time and ideas.

The Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin continues to commit itself to people--those in the present who receive a transplant and those in the future who will benefit from today's research. Our ultimate aim is improving people's quality of life through the Gift of Sight.

Our Eau Claire Seymour Club transports cornea tissue several times throughout the year from local hospitals, from where the tissue is harvested to a transfer station in Tomah Wisconsin where other Lions then transport the tissue to waiting donors in other parts of Southern Wisconsin.  Lion John Brandl is our Eye Tissue Transport contact.
