The Elizabethton Lions Club was chartered on October 4, 1999.  Our Club is a working service club that work on community projects and raises funds for projects in hope of making a higher quality of life for those we help.

We are actively involved with the Tennessee Lions Eye Center at Vanderbilt children's Hospital and the Outreach Program for photoscreening young children's eyes for amblyogenic factors which can cause serious vision problems and even blindness if not treated.

With the Outreach Program we provide free photoscreening to identify young children with potential visual defects.  We screen about 300 children a year in partnership with Carter County Head Start Program.

Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.
