Lions Clubs around the world raise money through various projects so that the moneys raised can be used to assist those people less fortunate than ourselves.

The Lions club of Engadine is actively involved in the 'Lions Recycle for Sight' project.
Unwanted eye glasses of any type are welcome and are sent to third world countries after undergoing cleaning, sorting, grading and packaging and labelling.
- Reading Glasses, long distance glasses, lenses only and unwanted sunglasses are collected, processed and re-alocated to needy recipients.
- Please leave your unwanted glasses or lenses with our local optometrists, the Engadine Senior Citizens Centre, Lions Markets (the first Sunday of the month) or give them to the Lion on duty for our weekly "Lucky Envelopes" outside the Engadine branch of the Westpac Bank every Saturday morning. If you would like a member of our club to collect glasses from your local business or home address, please contact us.
Regular projects
In the Engadine Town Square, right in the heart of the Engadine shopping centre, ajacent to the Engadine Community Centre and underneath the Engadine Town Clock.
The first Sunday of every month (except January).

In the Engadine Tavern every Saturday (except long weekends and January)
Between 2.30 p.m and 3.30 p.m. Tickets $1 each or six for $5.

Outside the Westpac Bank every Saturday morning (except long weekends and January). Envelopes cost fifty cents each and you can win up to ten dollars. Remember - you have to be in it to win it.
