
In 1944, the Everett Central Lions Club Sponsored the Fishing Derby for the Blind. the Derby was a great success and has been held yearly and successfully since that time.
EVERETT CENTRAL LIONS CLUB was one of the first clubs to be chartered, and the first in the Pacific Northwest, on May 20, 1920.
The Everett Central Lions Club, in keeping with its purpose, has been active with special emphasis in working with the visually and hearing impaired. In the past, the Club has annually made contributions of time and money to associations for the blind and to individual blind and hearing impaired persons. The Club actively participates in the Northwest Sight and Hearing Foundation and the Lions Snohomish County Sight and Heaering Foundation.
Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.
