PRESIDENT'S PROJECT

Each year the club president chooses a project which some of our fund raising is used to support.  In the past this has included the local Exmouth RNLI, St John Ambulance and BBC Radio Devon's Chestnut Appeal. 

ZONE PROJECT

Similar to the President's Project, but on a larger scale.  The six Lions clubs that make up Zone I (I as in India, not one) - Axminster, Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth, Honiton, Seaton and Sidmouth Lions clubs - under the leadership of the Zone Chairman, decide upon one BIG local good cause which all clubs in the zone contribute towards.  In the past this has included ELF, The Devon Air Ambulance, CLIC and West of England School for children with little or no sight.  It has been known for this contribution to be as much as £9,000.  

Each club nominates their choice, then the chosen organisation is selected by a democratic vote of all six clubs.  The 2010/11 chosen charity is HOSPICE SW.
