At the annual Fennimore Lions Club Christmas party, the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellow was awarded to Lion Bill Urban. This is the highest award that is given by the international organization. Lion Urban has been a member of Lions clubs International for 46 years. During those years he has held several offices and served on numerous committees. The fellowship contribution of $1,000.00 is used in programs to prevent blindness, drug programs and sight restoration. Lion Urban was honored to have his three children and two grandchildren attend ceremony. Lion Bill Joins six members of the Fennimore club who received this award, Gary Chamberlain, Lavern Croft, Dallas Croft, Max Rosemeyer, Joe Novinska and Marvin Staskal.
