We welcome all visitors to our Membership meetings, held at Willowbrook Church, the third Thursday of every month, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Willowbrook Church has opened their doors to the community, and invited the Forest Lake Lions club to hold their monthly meetings in their beautiful new facility! Lion Rick Bahneman will be catering our dinners for us, for a free will offering of $12.00, including beverages. If you enjoy the feeling of giving to others less fortunate, as much as we do, consider being our guests!!! You will be pleasantly surprised to learn just how much more than just collecting used eyeglasses that we actually do. You'll never know, unless you give it a chance!
We are very PROUD, as Lions, to have our very own LEOS club! LEOS (which stands for Leadership, Education, Opportunity and Service) is a program designed for High School aged children who we hope to someday be our leaders, teaching them young about respect, giving, volunteering and Community Service. For more information, contact Lion Nancy Immel at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call (651)982-0627.
The Forest Lake Lions are a local community service organization whose members are part of the International Association of Lions Clubs, with a worldwide membership of nearly 1.4 million members in over 45,000 clubs scattered throughout 210 countries and geographical regions. We, the Lions, enjoy working to better the lives and well being of all people in the community through the education and research programs the Lions sponsor for sight, hearing, diabetes and drug awareness.
Our mission is to serve the needs of our community through a wide range of volunteer projects. 100% of all proceeds raised are given back to the community.
We strive to improve the lives of individual community members and assist local, national and international charitable organizations by providing funds, in-kind donations and volunteers for programs and services with an eye toward Sight, Health and Education.
COMMUNITY ACTION and SUPPORT
The Forest Lake Lions support, and have several members trained along with local residents, in a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). This team is always looking for new, interested citizens to participate in a 20 hour training course to prepare for rapid response if called upon in an emergency. Contact our website for further information.
We invite anyone interested in learning more about the Forest Lake Lions Club, or Lions Clubs International, to join us at our next meeting. Please contact Lion Nancy Immel, at (651)982-0627, or email email@example.com for more information. You will also find us on FaceBook at Forest Lake Lions Club. We will even pay for your meal! PLEASE JOIN US!
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
