WELCOME TO GAINSBOROUGH LIONS CLUB

Gainsborough is a small town tucked away in Lincolnshire (and yes we do have hills), its steeped in history the famous Marshals tractor dominated the industry of Gainsborough for many years, we are also proud of the fact Gainsborough sits on the bank of the river Trent enabling goods to be brought in by barges. We have Gainsborough Old Hall a medieval manor dating back to the 15th century with the Elizabethan additions. Over the years Gainsborough has seen many changes from the hive of industry of the tractors and the barges delivering good to now, its slowly turning into a 21st century town, with new houses, new ideas, and new investment. so lets see what the furture holds.

Here at Gainsborough we are a strong band of 12 men and women we chartered  on 29th June 2007, with Lion Stefan Szafran being our 1st member, The motto of Lions Clubs is "Ordinary people - Amazing things" so very true!!

Membership is open to both Males and Females age is no barrier,  and you don't  have to have a high flying job to become a Lion.

As individuals we are limited in what we can achieve, but collectively the impossible suddenly becomes achievable.

We spend our effords on FUNdraising, with the emphasis on FUN. Obviously the more club members we have the more we can do to raise funds: funds which on the whole go to help local organisations and individuals.

If you are interested in joining the Gainsborough Lions Club, please go to our "Contact Us" page for details.

We currently meet once a month (The 2nd Monday of each Month), at the Horse and Jockey, 42 Church Street, Gainsborough
