WHO ARE THE GLASGOW LIONS?

The Glasgow Lions Club and the Glasgow Lions Service Foundation are Delaware Corporations composed of a diverse group of community spirited citizens who share a common interest and commitment to community service supporting the Lions motto "We Serve".

The Glasgow Lions membership includes both men and women over the age of 21 who serve the area bounded by I-95, the Maryland state line, Summit Bridge and Rt. 1 in Bear.

The Glasgow Lions have served our community since 1979. As Lions we are part of Lions Club International, headquartered near Chicago, Ill. that includes over 1.3 million members in nearly 46,000 clubs in 193 countries and geographical areas throughout the world.

In Delaware we are one of 38 clubs serving District 22-D (part of Multiple District 22, which covers Delaware, Maryland and Washington D.C.)

WHO CAN BECOME A MEMBER?

Membership is by invitation for any adult who wants to join in helping others in the community.

 

WHAT DO LIONS DO?

The primary mission of the Lions of Glasgow, through service and financial assistance, is to help improve the quality of life for those in the community less fortunate then ourselves. We sponsor several fundraisers to support numberous projects.

As Glasgow Lions Members we give freely of our time and energy to enrigh the lives of others and are rewarded by the knowledge that out efforts do make a difference. Community service is our primary purpose and it is what we do best.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

You can help by participating or assisting us on various community projects such as collecting donations for Vision Days, high way cleanups, give you time and energy on our fundraising events such as Newark Community Day, shop AmazonSmile.com and designate Glasgow Lions Club to receive donation every time you shop online. Of course, the most direct way to offer your help is to join the club which is part of the world's largest community service organizations.

 

HOW TO REACH GLASGOW LIONS?

The Glasgow Lions Club meets at 6:30 pm the first and third Tuesday of each month (exclusive of July and August) at the Rt. 40 Diner at the White Clay Shopping Center in Bear (1705 Pulaski Hwy, Bear, DE 19701).
