The Granbury Lions Club is affiliated with Lions Clubs International, the world's largest service club organization with over 1.3 million members in 206 countries and geographical areas1.  Since 1925, when Helen Keller spoke to its international convention, Lions' principal charities have benefited the blind or visually impaired in the U.S. and throughout the world.


GLASSES FOR NEEDY KIDS provided at no cost for qualified grade school students from Hood County.
SCHOLARSHIPS awarded to six graduating seniors from local high schools.
ATTENDANCE RECOGNITION - Grade school kids are recognized for perfect attendance/no tardys each six weeks.  Gold dollars are given as term-long recognition.
PANCAKE FEEDS - Granbury Lions cook at fund raisers and other events for Hood County Senior Center, Relay for Life and Junior Livestock Raisers.
EYEGLASS RECYCLING - Lions process used glasses for distribution to the needy.  (click

TEXAS LIONS CAMP for Physically Handicapped and Diabetic Children, located on a 500+ acre site in Kerrville, TX.
LEADER DOGS FOR THE BLIND trains "seeing eye" dogs and their owners.
LIONS WORLD SERVICE FOR THE BLIND sponsors numerous projects such as Campaign to Eliminate River Blindness.
