DO YOU WANT TO BECOME A LION

WITH THE HALIBURTON & DISTRICT LION CLUB

We are always looking for people who want to have a good time and also assist their community. We have two meeting per month in the Dysart Community Centre (above the Haliburton ice rink) in Haliburton.

The first monthly meeting is the second Thursday of the month and it is typically our business meeting but we do serve tea, coffee and dessert during the meeting. The meeting is from 7:30 pm until approximately 9:00 pm. The second meeting of the month is on the fourth Thursday of the month and it is usually our "POT LUCK DINNER" meeting. We get to sample the tasty dishes of our fellow Lions. This meeting starts at 6:30 until approximately 9:00 pm. We also have a very short business meeting as part of our dinner gathering.

We take part in many of the community’s annual activities such as the Christmas Parade, Haliburton Highland Games and Frost Festival. We also annually organize our own events such as Toll Bridge Day, Purina Guide Dog Fund Raiser, Vision Test for the County's kindergarten children and the BBQs. All these events add enjoyment to our lives while we help to support the people of our communities.
