Hamburg Lions Club

Who We Are

Hamburg Lions are regular people, just like you. They are men and women who have decided to serve others through community involvement.

The Hamburg Lions held their first meeting in December 1970. In the months that followed, the Hamburg Lions grew rapidly to 38 members. Since that beginning over 40 years ago, over 150 people have served, working diligently to promote good within our community.

In order to promote support for juvenile diabetes research, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and the Lions established a “traveling trophy” to be housed by the club who raised the most support for JDRF in a given year. The traveling trophy now permanently reside with the Hamburg Lions because we have consistently raised more than any of the other 60 clubs in our district.

It’s this kind of dedicated service that has enables the Hamburg Lions Club to serve our community in a wide variety of ways.
